Barranco del Pozo Trail

16.95-kilometre hiking trail. Access to the trail begins in Ricote, at La Calera Hostel, where the road from Ricote to Mula (MU-15B) meets the forest track leading up to the Almeces television transmitter.

At an altitude of around 800 metres, on a broad bend separating Barranco del Pozo from the neighbouring Barranco de la Cañada de Miñano, visitors are rewarded with spectacular panoramic views. From here, you can admire the nearby Sierra del Solán overlooking the town of Blanca, as well as Sierra del Oro, Atalaya de Cieza, Sierra de la Pila and Sierra del Carche. On clear days, the mountain ranges of the provinces of Albacete and Alicante can also be seen in the distance.
